The commemorative poster for the <\/span>Great Passion Procession \u2018Lucena Vive la Pasi\u00f3n\u2019<\/b> was commissioned by the Organising Committee and created by the Lucena artist <\/span>V\u00edctor Manuel Manj\u00f3n-Cabeza Ortiz<\/b>, who has conceived a work rich in symbolism, emotion and a profound sense of heritage. The composition brings together three essential elements of Lucena\u2019s spirituality: the <\/span>sacred image<\/b>, the <\/span>church that houses it,<\/b> and the <\/span>vault that unites earth and heaven<\/b>, creating a visual representation of the axis that defines Holy Week in Lucena: <\/span>faith, art, and community<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Dominating the composition is the imposing <\/span>Christ at the Column (Cristo de la Columna)<\/b>, one of the town\u2019s most emblematic sacred images, framed by the <\/span>main altarpiece of the Major Parish Church of Saint Matthew<\/b> and the <\/span>dome of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel<\/b>, reNdered in sky blue as a spiritual heaven embracing devotion. The work is built around a <\/span>triadic colour palette<\/b> of <\/span>blue, red, and gold<\/b>, colours that fulfil not only an aesthetic purpose but also a deeply symbolic one: red evokes the earthly realm, gold elevates the human to the divine, and blue suggest trascendence.<\/span><\/p>\n On either side, arrange like processional banners, are the <\/span>coats of arms of all the brotherhoods<\/b> taking part in the Great Passion Procession, displayed with meticulous order and symmetry. This heraldic framework reinforces the town\u2019s sense of unity, showing how each brotherhood \u2015with its own identity and heritage\u2015 forms part of a shared spirit that finds its collective expression in this Great Passion Procession.<\/span><\/p>\n The poster also pays <\/span>implicit tribute to the \u2018santero\u2019<\/b>, the human heart of Holy Week in Lucena. Although not depicted directly, the santero\u2019s presence is reflected in the <\/span>posture, strength, and expression<\/b> of the Christ at the Column (Cristo de la Columna), a symbol of the dedication, endurance, and quiet devotion of generations of men who have borne the weight of tradition upon their shoulders. A fitting tribute to a living human heritage recognised as a <\/span>National Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC)<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n As a final symbolic element, the <\/span>manijero\u2019s bell, bearing the coat of arms of the Agrupaci\u00f3n de Cofrad\u00edas<\/b>, appears in the lower left corner \u2015an ivonic sound that will herald the beginning of this historic day.
