A practising lawyer, he has devoted much of his life to literature and has published four collections of poetry, a historical essay and a play.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Committed to the world of brotherhoods and confraternity, he has contributed to the magazines <em>\u2018El Torralbo\u2019<\/em>, <em>\u2018Silencio\u2019<\/em> and <em>\u2018Humildad\u2019<\/em>, as well as delivering several lectures on theological subjects.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A practising Christian with a deep devotion to his faith, and a lover of Lucena\u2019s customs and traditions, he has held senior positions in various brotherhoods over the past decade. He has served as treasurer and Deputy Head Brother of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus of the Valley and Mary Most Holy of Sorrows (Cofrad\u00eda de Nuestro Padre Jes\u00fas del Valle y Mar\u00eda Sant\u00edsima de la Amargura), and is currently secretary of the Brotherhood of Nazarenes of the Most Holy Christ of the Blood and Mary Most Holy of the Greatest Sorrow (Cofrad\u00eda de Nazarenos del Sant\u00edsimo Cristo de la Sangre y Mar\u00eda Sant\u00edsima del Mayor Dolor). He has also served as Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Agrupaci\u00f3n de Cofrad\u00edas of Lucena.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His experience as a proclaimer began in 2019, when he had the honour of delivering the Exaltation of the Christ of the Valley, and continued in 2021, when he introduced the writer Don Manuel Guerrero Cabrera at his Exaltation.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verd\u00fa Orellana\u2019s commitment to upholding Christian principles and the values of Lucena\u2019s brotherhoods and santer\u00eda has made him a worthy recipient of this distinction, which he will undoubtedly undertake with emotion and faith.
