7th November 2024 – At its ordinary meeting held yesterday, Sunday 6th November 2024, the Board of Officers of the Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena reached its decision in the competition for the 2025 Lucena Holy Week poster. After examining the 53 works of photography, digital composition and painting submitted by 9 artists, and having confirmed that they complied with the provisions of the Poster Competition Rules, it resolved to select:
- As the Lucena Holy Week Poster, the work entitled «Las seis de la mañana son» (It is six o’clock in the morning), by Jesús Ruiz Jiménez. The central figure in this composition is Our Father Jesus the Nazarene; the poster will therefore be unveiled by a representative of the Venerable Archconfraternity of Our Father Jesus the Nazarene.
- As the Holy Week Commemorative Artwork, the work entitled «La mano de Dios» (The Hand of Go)”, by Juan Pérez Cañete. This work depicts the intertwined hands of Our Father Jesus the Nazarene and a female devotee.
The 2025 Holy Week Poster and the Holy Week Commemorative Artwork will be unveiled, God willing, on Saturday 18th January 2025 at the Palacio Erisana, during a gala at which the prize-winners will receive their awards.
