Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena (Lucena Association of Brotherhoods)

Official Programme

Every year, the Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena publishes and presents the Official Holy Week Programme, an essential publication that provides a detailed guide to all the religious services, moves, and processions that make up our ‘Semana Mayor’. Beyond its informative purpose, the programme is an authentic reference document that reflects the richness of our brotherhood traditions, serving as a guide for both locals and visitors who come to experience these unique days. In 1931, the Cofradía de la Entrada en Jerusalén (Brotherhood of the Entry into Jersusalem) published the first printed Holy Week programme.

Its presentation, together with the Torralbo magazine, marks one of the highlights of Lent, as it represents the symbolic start of the countdown to Holy Week. Through this programme, the Agrupación reaffirms its role as the guardian and promoter of a living heritage, making it easier for everyone to participate in and deeply understand the calendar that gives meaning to our identity and devotion.
