September 15, 2026. The secretary of the Venerable Archconfraternity of Our Father Jesus Nazarene, Francisco Javier Ruiz González, will be responsible for introducing Rafael Romero Fernández, the Proclaimer of Lucena’s Holy Week 2027, in one of the central events of Lucena’s brotherhood calendar.
The Proclaimer himself designated Ruiz González as the introducer, acknowledging the close brotherhood ties they share and their commitment to Christian values, in addition to his career and connection to Lucena’s Holy Week.
Francisco Javier Ruiz González is currently the secretary of the Venerable Archconfraternity of Our Father Jesus Nazarene and was the foreman designated to lead the bearing of the Our Father Jesus Nazarene float during the Great Passionist Procession ‘Lucena Lives the Passion’, held on September 27, 2025.
Outside the brotherhood sphere, he carries out his professional activity related to Law and serves as the treasurer of the Illustrious Bar Association in Lucena.
For his part, Rafael Romero Fernández was designated Proclaimer of Lucena’s Holy Week 2027 by the Board of Officers of the Association of Brotherhoods, meeting in ordinary session last May 28, 2026.
Francisco Javier Ruiz will thus introduce Rafael Romero’s address at the upcoming Proclamation of Lucena’s Holy Week, one of the most significant events of Lent and a prelude to the main days of Lucena’s Passion.
