The Tourism Department of Lucena Town Council, in collaboration with the Foundation of Medium-Sized Cities of Central Andalusia (Fundación de Ciudades Medias del Centro de Andalucía), organizes a variety of tourist routes throughout the year, enabling visitors to discover the city from different perspectives: historical, artistic, heritage, religious, and gastronomic. Lucena is much more than a destination for a one-off visit; Holy Week is not confined to a few specific days in the calendar: it is a living reality throughout all 365 days of the year. It is a town best understood by exploring its churches, squares and neighbourhoods, and by discovering the crafts and trades that keep its tradition alive. For this reason, these routes are designed to offer a clear and comprehensive insight, both for those visiting Lucena for the first time and for those wishing to deepen their understanding of the town’s heritage and unique identity.
