6th September 2024. – At its ordinary meeting held yesterday, Thursday 5th September, the Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena agreed to appoint Juan Antonio Parejo Pineda as Honorary President of the Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena, in recognition of his indispensable contribution to the preservation and development of the institution, where he founded Torralbo magazine and the ‘Manolo Ramírez’ Cofrade Award, as well as for his lifelong, selfless dedication to the confraternity community.

His dedication led him to become a cornerstone of Holy Week in our town, successfully combining his professional career with his devotion to Lucena’s traditions and, in particular, to the confraternity community, ultimately becoming the Founding Head of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Christ of Love and Mary Most Holy of Peace (Cofradía del Santísimo Cristo del Amor y María Santísma de la Paz).
