Media Accreditation

On the occasion of the Great Passion Procession ‘Lucena Vive la Pasión’, which will take place in Lucena on 27 September 2025, the Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena has established an accreditation system for media organisations and professional photographers covering this historic event from the Official Processional Route.

Interested applicants must complete the Media Accreditation Application Form, available on this page, and submit it within the specified deadline. Acreditation will be mandatory in order to gain access to the areas designated for media organisations and professional photographers during the Great Passion Procession.

Accreditation Regulations and Procedure

  • All media organisations wishing to cover this historic event must complete the official accreditation form (which will be made available on the date indicated below) for each journalist applying for accreditation, providing the details of the media organisation they represent.
  • The application period for accreditation will run from Monday 1st September to Friday 12th September 2025. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.
  • By 19th September, applicants will receive an email confirming whether their application has been approved or declined, together with details of the time and location for collecting their accreditation and the access times for the Official Processional Route.
  • The Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena will be responsible for controlling access to the Official Processional Route, reserving the right of entry exclusively to those professionals who have been accredited in advanced and determining their designated locations.
  • Only one accreditation will be issued per application. It will be issued for personal use only, is non-transferable, and will be valid solely for the duration of the Great Passion Procession.
  • Access to the area reserved for media organisations does not include the provision of seating. Should a professional require a reserved seat in order to carry out their work ―excluding photographers and other visual media professionals― they are requested to indicate this in the Observations section of the application form. 
  • Should a professional require any technical facilities in order to carry out their work ―for example, acces to a power supply― they are requested to specify this in the Observations section of the application form. 
  • Amaximum of two representatives per media organisation may be accredited, each of whom must apply for accreditation individually. Should your media organisation intend to provide live coverage of the Great Passion Procession and therefore require a greater number of accredited professionals, please contact the Organising Committee. 

Code of Good Practice for Media Coverage

Accreditation as a representative of a media organisation or as an accredited professional photographer entitles the holder to access the designated restricted areas. However, in order to maintain proper control and ensure safety within these designates areas, the following Code of Good Practice has been established for the media coverage of the Great Passion Procession in Lucena. 

  • Respet for all participants: Maintain a respectful attitude throughout the event, avoiding any disruption to solemn and sacred moments, and ensuring that the view of spectators seated in the reserved seating areas is not obstructed.
  • Restricted Areas: Respect the restricted areas and use only those zones designated for media organisations and professional photographers, which will be communicated to you in the confirmation email for your accreditation. Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in the withdrawal of your accreditation.
  • Dress Code: Photographers and videographers are requested to wear black or other dark-coloured clothing, appropiate to the solemnity of the religious celebration, in order to preserve the visual harmony of the event and avoid causing distraction.
  • Use of Technical Equipment: Use recording equipment discreetly.
  • Social Media Coverage: Use the official hashtags (#SemanaSantaLucena #MagnaPasionistaLucena) and tag the official account of the Agrupación de Cofradías of Lucena on Facebook (@semanasantadelucena) and Instagram (@semana_santa_de_lucena_oficial). 
  • Please remember that accreditation serves solely as a form of identification confirming that you are carrying out your professional duties. At all times, you must comply with the instructions issued by the Agrupacion de Cofradías of Lucena, the police authorities, and another authorised personnel.
  • Accreditation may be revoked at any time during the Great Passion Procession should the accredited professional fail to comply with any of the regulations set out above.
